We are proud to announce that the 2024 cashew export season marks a historic milestone for Korosho Group. For the first time in our company's history, we have surpassed the 5,000 metric tonne mark in cashew kernel exports — a 32% increase over our 2023 figures.
This achievement reflects years of investment in farmer training, processing capacity upgrades, and the deepening of our international trade relationships. Over 4,200 smallholder farmers contributed to this record season, with women constituting 68% of our farmer base.
"This milestone belongs to every farmer, processor, and team member who has worked tirelessly to build Korosho Group into what it is today," said CEO Amina Juma Mwalimu. "We are just getting started."
Key highlights of the 2024 season include: improved kernel outturn ratios averaging 48 lbs per 80 kg bag, zero aflatoxin rejections at European ports, and the onboarding of three new premium buyers in Germany and the Netherlands.
